JOB OPPORTUNITY FOR DIGITAL IC VERIFICATION DESIGNER - BSTC - JAGUARIUNA

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations

- Work with a small team in functional verification for 32 and 8-bit
SoCs and IP blocks.
- Analyze product requirements and assist in verification planning.
- Develop the verification environment including the testbench,
verification components and stimuli to successfully complete the
verification plan and prove correct functionality of the device
under verification.
- Run simulations and debug the RTL and the verification environment,
reporting bugs in a issue tracking system.
- Track code and functional coverage to monitor completness of the
verification effort.
- Interface closely with Design and Test engineers.
- Identify and help implement methodology improvements.

Department Description

The Freescale Semiconductor Microcontroller Division (MCD) of the
Transportation and Standard Products Group (TSPG) develops MCUs
(Microcontroller Units) for the automotive, consumer and industrial
markets. MCD is a recognized world leader in all the market segments
it serves: #1 in 8-bit MCUs, #1 in 32-bit MCUs, #3 (general) and #1
(auto) in 16-bit MCUs.

The MCD Verification team in Brazil works on functional verification
of 8 and 32-bit products interfacing with multi-functional world-wide
teams.

Specific Knowledge Skill

- BSEE or BSCE with 5-10 years experience.
- Strong background in functional verification tools and methodologies
with preference for HLVL (High level verification languages) like
Vera, e, SystemC or SystemVerilog. Experience with formal
verification is a plus.
- Strong software development skills, including assembly, C/C++
programming, scripting languages like sh, TCL Perl and object
orientation concepts. Familiarity with C and/or assembler
programming for Freescale cores (PowerPC, Coldfire, HCS12, HCS08)
is a plus.
- Good English language skills (both written and verbal).
- Background in DFT, production test is a plus.

Successful candidates must demonstrate:

- high responsiveness and sense of urgency
- attention to detail
- ability to work independently / autonomously
- prioritization skills to best meet division's needs
